All the holiday posts today got me wondering: If you celebrate Christmas, did you/do you fill stockings for your SO before kids?
DH and I don't have any kids yet, but we've filled stockings for each other each year we've been married. I love picking out silly little things to fill his stocking with. We even make sure to stuff each others' stockings on Christmas Eve night, and out of sight of one another. Are we the only ones that do this?

Before LO we would fill them for each other, that was my favorite part of Christmas growing up, what my parents could find to fit inside! I loved doing it for DH!

DH and I do a small celebration even though we do not have any kids yet. Basically we just get up early and make a special christmas breakfast before heading over to the family gathering. We don't do stockings yet and we exchange gifts when we're with family.

Stockings are big where my husband is from, so we have done them every year we have been married, including before our son was born.

We do a stocking exchange with my siblings and we rotate who we get each year. DH gets a stocking in this exchange.

@Pui: We do stockings, breakfast, and gifts for each other together before heading out to see family. It has been important to us to establish traditions for our family before LOs, so that when we do have kids, the routine will already be in place and we can hopefully avoid any confusion about what we do on Christmas morning. Plus it's a special time for just us!
@looch: I love being able to incorporate traditions from my family and from DH's family into what we do now. I'm a HUGE fan of family (especially holiday) traditions. Luckily DH is on board, too!
@Mrs. Jump Rope: I'm so glad we're not alone in this! I think it's so much fun. My parents always did stockings for one another, too! (Of course Santa filled their stockings along with mine & my sister's when we were young!)

@ABCmrs: Even now with LOs, we still secretly fill each other's stockings. I fill the boys and his before going to bed. He fills mine later, but I've never actually seen him do it.

@SugarplumsMom: Glad I could jog your memory! I usually stalk the Target dollar aisle and make a few trips to Dollar Tree to find fun things there. Sometimes if DH has something that will fit inside his stocking on his wish list, I'll put something a little more expensive in there, too!

Silly things! Last year it was little Star Wars toys, a tomato knife, and some candy.

Stockings are my favorite part about Christmas morning! We've had them since we moved in together, and always include little treats that serve as clues to our bigger gifts under the Christmas tree.
....We also fill Easter baskets for each other, and DH hides eggs for me to find. We're really cool.
