It's one thing to see adults dress up as Ray Rice with an inflatable doll. That's not funny. It's another thing to see a child do it, when clearly the parent had a hand in their costume. Glorifying DV much? This isn't a laughing matter.
Sidenote- no need for the blackface, the jersey has the guy's name on it.

My friend showed this to me over the weekend. So messed up. I feel bad for that kid, he obviously has really terrible parents if they think this is funny or appropriate.

People are assholes and those assholes shouldn't be allowed to have children.
I hope the parents are satisfied with the horrible image they've given of themselves and their child and the backlash that comes along with it.

Holy crap, that is horrifying. I seriously think those people should be forced to take a parenting class, although there's probably something wrong with them as far as empathy/common sense goes that can't be fixed if they actually think this is appropriate!

Who has a parent thinks that is an appropriate or "funny" costume? I've seen people on my FB doing it as adults and thought "what if their employer saw this?"

that's absolutely disgusting. it terrifies me to think about what kind of an adult that child will become when he's learned that to be comical (i'm assuming the parents intended for it to be comical, i don't think a child would come up with that costume on their own). also, WTF is wrong with those ppl liking the picture?!? what sort of monster would like that??

Yikes, apparently this is just one of many putting on this type of costume, although I have to say there is something especially shocking about seeing it on a child who probably doesn't really understand what he's representing. But this is just so disturbing, that so many people seem to think it's funny. I saw all of the Ray Rice costumes and was disturbed, but this one was the most disturbing to me because it is a child. "Hey, let's make fun of domestic violence!" "Hey, blackface is okay!"

I've seen lots of adults with questionable costumes (a guy in my BEd program went as dead babies).But making your child participate in child abuse.
