I am looking for some more information on how stress affects babies and toddlers, either from personal experiences or any literature with which you are familiar.

LO is 13 months old and we have had some recent stressors in our life, some of which I am concerned are affecting him. We try not to talk about the stressors or argue in front of him (above and beyond normal, healthy disagreements), but he is certainly I surrounded by some of the stress. He has been having a rough time for the past few months (difficulties transitioning to new places, new people, and a general uneasiness while out and about) and now I am starting to really worry that the grown-up stress is having a serious affect on him.

I know that the ultimate answer is to try to stress less/keep him from the worries, but I am now starting to think about what's happened up until this point and how it has impacted him. I am scared that perhaps the stress is irreversible and that his recent anxieties are directly related to this.
