Hi all,
DD is 3.5 months old and all of a sudden, HATES her pram! It doesn't matter where we are, as soon as we put her in the pram, she starts losing it and quickly escalates to a full on meltdown (high pitched shrieking, red face, gasping for breath from crying etc). We've tried her at all the different reclining positions and none of it makes a difference. We have two prams (a normal one and an umbrella) and she does this with both so I don't think it's anything with the particular pram.
She's been doing this for just over a week and I keep thinking it's a gas bubble, but now I'm not so sure. She quiets down as soon as we pick her up, but then if we try to get her back in the pram, it's full on meltdown time again.
I've tried letting her cry it out a bit in the pram when I know there's nothing wrong with her, but it's awfully hard to do in public. I normally don't care what others say but when DD is having a meltdown, I'm already a bit flustered and getting comments from random strangers certainly don't help.
Has anyone gone through this? Is this just a stage? I'm getting to my wit's end as it means that we can't really go anywhere unless I put her in the Bjorn...and given that she's 14.5 lbs, I don't like using it for longer than an hour max as it really takes a toll on my shoulders and back.
Any suggestions? Thanks!
