Eh, I think it might be fairly normal for there to be some PTing setbacks occasionally. Hopefully the Bees with multiple older kids can weigh in.

My 3 year old has been potty trained (day trained--still needs a pull up at night) a year in November. But all of September, after starting at a new pre-school, she was starting to have frequent accidents. Like, one every other day the entire month. Once at school, but all the rest at home as soon as she got home. What was weird is that she can go appropriately at school, hold it while at the park with out nanny after school....but I come home and even with the bathroom 8 feet from us, with her stool and her potty seat set up, she'd still be having an accident within 15 minutes of me walking in the door from work.

And she wouldn't say she had to go or do anything. So after it started getting more frequent, I emailed her school and talked with the nanny and asked that everyone watch the clock and have her go every 1.5-2 hours. I asked the nanny to have her go at school before leaving for the day, and to go as soon as they got home (after the park).

So now, she hasn't had an accident in over a week. But I still think it's kind of a regression because she used to initiate her own pees, and tell us when she had to go, and just go take care of it. And now, we have to tell HER when to go, and she often says she cant wipe and needs help wiping, even though she's been wiping for ages.

I don't even fret too much about these setbacks because last Christmas, my 5 year old niece had an accident because we were at a family party with lots of people, she didn't know where the bathroom was and didn't want to ask I guess. But that made me think that potty training is a long marathon, not a sprint.
