At the bottom of our stairs, we have a railing that is in the way of any normal-height baby gate. The one we put up right now doesn't open all the way because the railing is in the way. It's SO annoying. Any suggestions for a nice, short baby gate?

This probably isn't what you want to know, but my pastor has a gate from the ASPCA for his dog and it's only about knee-high. Would something like that work?
