I want to get baby girl #2 a new outfit to come home in since she will be wearing 90% big sister's hand me downs. 
What did your summer baby wear home from the hospital? I don't like fussy outfits on newborns/infants. So I want something cute but practical. And under $25.

She had a light cotton footed sleeper with ice cream cones all over it. It was from Joe Fresh.

She wore a hot pink polka dot footed onesie from Baby Gap. Their layette stuff is so soft and I liked that it zipped because it made it easy to put on. Even though it was summer it was cold in the hospital and the a/c was on at home so I still wanted something to keep her warm.

@lawbee11: @autumnlove: yes! I have been wondering if I should still get a footed sleeper since it's hot out but will be cool in the hospital and home. And their body won't be doing well at temp adjusting yet.
I did see a super cute non footed one piece at BG!

@autumnlove: I loooove those. My co-worker recently had a little girl and her coming home outfit was the striped one with the matching hat. It looked so sweet.
@locavore_mama: You could always do non-footed and just bring a pair of socks in case it's cold in the hospital.

LO also wore a footed NB sleeper from Carters last summer. I originally wanted an "outfit" but we were team green so I just bought one NB girl sleeper beforehand and that's what she wore home.

We bought her a dress, but it was chilly the day we brought her home so she had a dress and leggings on.

We were team green but I was sure I was having a boy, so I bought a cute little NB non footed one piece that was green and blue whales, plus I brought a neutral terry sleep and play.
She is a girl, so she wore the neutral white sleep and play 
It's the same one my nephew/godson wore home from the hospital, so that was pretty sweet. It was summer and hot, but she really wasn't outside at all anyway.

M came home in 90 degree weather in a long sleeve sleeper with a hat on her little head. R was a March baby, which can be cold or warm here. So I got something like this from Carters. It was cooler, so we added a hat and socks but it was perfect.
I just looked at pictures, it was like the link but it had the folds to go over her hands.

Awww, I came home in August, my mom pulled out this knitted monstrosity I wore, and we didn't even have AC in the car!
I love the idea of getting her something all her own!
