Anyone have a recommendation for a sun hat that their kids will wear? My pale redhead kids are in 4th and 2nd grade. We're headed to Hawaii next month and I want to spend as little time fighting about hats and sun protection as possible.

My DD is 8 and wears this sunhat the most. She likes how it fits and I like how easily it adjusts and how much coverage it has. https://a.co/d/iEgpJ1P
She also has this one because she wanted one with a ponytail opening. She doesn't like it as much but does wear it occasionally. https://a.co/d/cu8mhVL
Another big thing we do for sun protection is have her wear a rash guard for all sorts of outdoor adventures. A short sleeve rash guard keeps her shoulders and chest well protected from the sun and then I don't have to get as much sunscreen on her.

I don't have a hat recommendation, but I'll echo the rash guard/sun shirt suggestion. I got my girls some lightweight UPF shirts last year that made such a difference for us.

Another recommendation for the Sunday Afternoon hats, they are the best. And rash guards/upf clothing when possible. Have fun!

Thanks for the recommendations on the rash guards. I'm a big rash guard fan. Fortunately I had a doctor recommended a rash guard to me in college before a trip to the South Pacific and I've been a rash guard evangelist ever since. I've even expanded to swim pants/leggings for the family because it's easier than sunblock. We'll see long my 9 year old will agree to that.
I've had less luck convincing the kids to wear their hats. They have Sunday Afternoon hats and I agree they're awesome functionally but the kids want more stylish hats.
I decided to let the kids shop for their own hats hoping they would pick something they would wear. These are their top contenders

I'm concerned there won't be enough brim on the hats so I'm also searching for like items with a bigger brim.

I love their picks! If you want to steer them towards spf hats and depending on budget, Wallaroo offers more stylish options and I have worn them for years, they hold up well. Here is a link to the kids section but they may be able to wear small adult hats?
