If you were throwing a first birthday to serve brunch what would you want the time frame to be? Note that church is not a factor for anyone
Eta and would you prefer a Saturday vs a Sunday?

It would depend on my son's nap schedule. At 1, he was sleeping from 1030am-12pm, so we did a 12-2pm party.

@Greentea: lol between breakfast and lunch! LOL This reminds me when my MIL wanted to go out for "brunch". But we needed to coordinate, she could not meet till 11am then it got pushed to 11:30. DH and I were like then why are we going for BRUnCH!! We could've had SO many more options if we just met for LUNCH! Lol still a little annoyed about that frustrating experience.

@regberadaisy: I guess I am a late bruncher! It takes us that long to get out of the house! I think of lunch as 12-2. But here we do brunch (restaurants do) until 3pm!!!!

10 am- 1 pm for a nice loungey brunch
I'm all for a 9:30 am brunch, since I would be starving for a nibble by 10...
Saturday! I like to run all my errands and outings on my first weekend day off then slumber on Sunday.

@regberadaisy: some of the places we go for brunch don't even open or start serving brunch until 11:30 or 11:45! I'm with @greentea! Brunch seems like 10am minimum to me, but later like 11-1 would seem totally reasonable too!

@yoursilverlining: ha! Yes Sunday brunch doesn't start till 11 but Saturday's are earlier. By 12 I'm ready to move on to my second full Meal of the day. :We're low maintenance and can get all four of us out the door in 30 minutes for breakfasts at 8! Lol that's what happens when your kids wake at 6am.

wow these responses are so early. We go to brunch A LOT and it's usually 11am at the earliest, but usually 12. I vote 11 or 11:30 for either Sunday or Saturday.

Saturday, 10-12, different kinds of muffins, veggie frittata, bacon and veggie sausage, a huge fruit platter, and maybe bagels with a toaster out and lots of cream cheese, lox, onion, tomato, and capers for the adults.

We did a Sat bday brunch last year for DD's bday. Sundays around here would never fly, too many people go to church so attendance would be low.
We did pastries, donuts with pink icing, mini egg cup muffins, chicken and waffles, and I had a mimosa bar. It was super fun!!

@babycanuck: I'm totally wanting to do a brunch party for the kids this spring!
