My 13 month old really hates when we are driving and the sun gets in her eyes. We have sun shades on the side-rear windows, but it seems the sun is mostly coming from the back window.
Does anyone have any brand/type of sunglasses they recommend? We have a pair of ones that are goggle type, but she is more likely to take those off because I think she doesn't like them tight to her head.
Also, should I be really worried about her poking herself with these, since I'll be driving?

We've tried the baby aviators, didn't work for us either, she hated them and we've done traditional ones I found at Carters, those don't stay on either. I'm following because I'd love to figure something out we have the same problem!

@RonjaL7: Not your initial question, but we have blinds that cover all back windows and even the rear window. They are great at keeping the sun out and the kids happy in the car.
As sunglasses we use Baby Banz or Kids Banz. My kids will tolerate them when they notice that they are really helping them (like when out in the sun on the beach etc.) What I like about them is that there is nothing they can poke themselves with so that they are safe to give them even when I cannot see what they are doing.

We've had Babiators for the past year and been really happy with them. We first tried them about 9 months and she liked them but was too curious to keep them on. Ever since 16 months or so she's better about keeping them on and can now (19 months) start putting them back on herself sometimes.
They're expensive, but good quality and I liked that they were polarized.
They have a 1-year guarantee for broken or lost glasses. We just redeemed for a new pair at the end of our warranty since she had finally managed to twist the part that goes over the ear. They still worked but didn't stay on as well because they were loose.

They were a big success, not too big on my son's head. He loves sunglasses, though (he's 27 months now and has 5 pairs in rotation, every morning he picks which ones he wants to wear that day) so we never really had a problem with him taking them off.

We just bought a $5 pair from Target. She picked them out and loves to wear them. She keeps telling me that she's fabulous.

@PUMUCKL I hadn't even considered that they make a sun shade for the back window. I might go that route if sunglasses don't make the situation better. As of right now every car ride home from daycare becomes a nightmare.

We haven't had much luck with her wearing sunglasses for shade, she just likes wearing them for fun. In the car I very recently (at 2.5 years) have been able to teach her to close her eyes and put her hands over her face when the sun is in them.
@avivoca: this is too stinking adorable! My LO likes to put hers on top of her head and say this is how mommy wears them, or tuck them into the neck of her shirt like daddy wears them.

@MRSBELLS I actually have those, but those are the ones she is just pulling down and off her face a little bit into the drive.
