What sunscreen does your LO use? We like to go for ones that are a little bit more natural but I don't want to buy and they turn out super greasy and not easy to rub in. We have used babyganics and that seemed to work pretty well...but open to new options for this year, we go through a lot of sunscreen!

Thinkbaby, it's my favorite. It's mineral based and pretty easy to rub in considering. Should probably add 2 to our April Amazon delivery!

I've used California Baby, but I liked Babyganics bc it has the spray, which I find easier to rub in

@T.H.O.U.: interesting - will have to check EWG! I only started sending Babyganics to daycare last year because I needed it ASAP and TB was so expensive on Amazon at that point.

I just did all this research this week because we needed to stock up for summer. I wanted something readily available and a couple of different formats.
Nuetrogena Baby Free and Clear - My go to favorite for faces. Not super thin but not terribly thick either. Reasonably priced. Mineral based. I think an EWG score of 3.
BananaBoat Tear free baby - I was surprised to find this mineral based extra large bottle for about $7. This will be great for bodies.
Honest Co Spray - This is a mineral spray but with just zinc (no titanium which has larger risks of inhalation). I haven't tried it but occasionally we need a spray for scalps or quick reapplications.
Lip Stick with Zinc
And the spray gel 30 for DH because thats all he will use and something is better than nothing.

thinkbaby but they're all hard to rub in! the ones i use for myself (eltamd, biore from japan, shiseido) are all soooo much easier to rub in but more chemicals.

We've always used ThinkBaby and she's never gotten a burn. @T.H.O.U.: I haven't seen that Honest spray before but I may have to try that out this year!

We use California Baby, but it's so greasy and hard to rub in. We tried Honest Company last year too, but then there were tons of bad reports coming out on how it didn't protect and people were getting burned.

Acure Organics SPF 30 Continuous Spray Sunscreen For the body and Sierra Sage Solar Goo sun protection for the face. The goo goes on white but rubs in easily.
Gimmethegoodstuff has great info on the better options for non toxic sun screens.

My kids have some sensory issues and have raging meltdowns when I try to apply normal lotion or spray sunscreen, so we use the sunscreen wipes by MD Moms. They are natural, developed by doctors, and we LOVE them! I even use them because they're so easy to use.

I used alba botanicals for both LO and me last year. Got her the kids version and me a lavender scented one, but I also used hers last year and had no problem rubbing it in. In season you can find it at Marshall's or tj maxx but it's probably a little early for that.
I've heard good things about think baby but haven't bought it yet. I found blue lizard to be a pain to run in.

@cam: I've seen that in some Canadian online shops, where I do most of my baby shopping, and have been thinking of trying it. Is it easy to rub in?

@Astro Bee: yeah it's pretty easy! I used it for myself last year too. I haven't tried most of the other ones people are mentioning though so I'm not sure how it compares.

Banana boat! They have a mineral one. It's cheap and we live outside in the summer. It has good ratings from EWG. It's recommended you put on way more than people usually use and we need something that we won't have to skimp on/go broke using.

Blue lizard. Super easy to run in and the cap turns blue in uv light.

@dagret: I found the blue lizard hard to rub in. It wasn't too bad on c since she is so fair and a little white was ok, but if I tried to use it on me it was really hard to not have white streaks (I am by no means very tan but not as fair as my blond haired blue eyed babe). I did like the cap though.

@dagret: I agree. We like Blue Lizard. I find it super easy to rub in compared to the California Baby we used to use, and it's more affordable too.

Kinesys spray. Looovvveeee it.
Not greasy. Almost feels like water. Gives great protection.
