Since summer is coming I really need to get my little one some sunscreen. Recommend your favorites & share what you like best about them. We aren't in an area where we probably need to use it every day, but I still prefer to use the safest products I can buy for baby. So far we try to wear loose-fitting lightweight long sleeves and pants, but I don't know if that it's going to work for much longer as it gets warmer, or if we go to the pool/beach.

Thinkbaby, for a mineral sunscreen it's pretty easy to applY. I use neutrogena baby free and clear stick for their faces.

I just use babyganics. I havent tried anything else, so I dont have anything to compare it to, but I figure it can't be bad.

We've been loving Babo sunscreens this year! We also use ThinkBaby and Honest, and are happy with them, but Babo is our fav.

We just bought Thinkbaby, based on the recommendations of others, and tried it out this weekend. I found it really easy to apply, and it has a pleasant scent. I had always heard that mineral-based sunscreens were hard to apply.

Blue Lizard.
My ped recommended that or California Baby, and Blue Lizard rubs in more easily than the other mineral based formulas we've tried and is more affordable too. It's paraben and fragrance free, not greasy, and has great ratings from EWG.

I love Blue Lizard too, and it's also great for LOs with sensitive skin.

We use Sierra Sage Solar Goo for the face and Acure Organics spray for the body. Both are highly rated on Gimmiethegoodstuff.org

I like badger and blue lizard. We also love long sleeve rash guards with UV protection so we don't have to apply as frequently.

Another vote for Blue lizard, and as @catomd00: mentioned, definitely long sleeved rash guards. My LO lived in them last summer!

We use Badger! I have the cream and also the face stick. Yes, you gotta do a little work to spread it, but I really like that haha so I can "see" the protection!

This year I bought Thinkbaby, California Baby, and Honest Company at the recommendations of others on here and the EWG. So far we tried out the Thinkbaby and liked it a lot. I didn't find it hard to put on at all.
Not to thread jack but at what age do you all start putting sunscreen on your LO?

Thanks all for the great recommendations! I did buy some Babyganics at Target & we'll be trying it out today or tomorrow. I'm also shopping Amazon for some long sleeve rash guards/full suits & another sun hat or 2.

@Canoli: Technically you're supposed to wait until 6m for sunscreen. My ped told us if we couldn't avoid the sun, it was better to use sunscreen though than get a burn. We took a vacation to FL when DS was 4m and we used a little bit then, for times when were at the pool or the beach, when we couldn't always be under shade.
