Most of my flip flops are from Target or Old Navy, so they're pretty flimsy and not very supportive. I am due in August, so I will be wearing flip flops all the time. Does anyone have any recommendations for some more supportive flip flops? I'd prefer to stay under $50.

I lived in Clarks sandals last pregnancy. The comfiest flip flops I've found (though not pregnancy-tested) were Tevas.

I live in Havaianas! I used to wear them with my business clothes to my "cool" accounts bc if I wore heels, I'd get fat swollen ankles! I bought a silver pair while preg and wore the HELL out of them! Now, I have multiple pairs...They're cheap and I love them!

I like Rainbows too but they are super casual. I did buy some w/rhinestones on the straps which are slightly cuter but they may have bedn $70 or $80

I think I'm going to live in my Birks this summer. I know they aren't flip flops but they are super comfy!

My favorites are Reefs and their basic ones are in the $20 range. I think they are pretty comparable to Havainas but they are more comfortable to me. They really conform to your feet (my sister and I had the same pair but just from regular wear, we could tell whose was whose by the foot shape!). I wouldn't call them *supportive* but much better than Target or Old Navy.
I've heard good reviews for the Birkenstocks with the T strap kind of thing, but never worn them. I don't think they are as cute as regular flip flops, but I may be checking them out if me feet really swell.

Not pregnant, but another vote for Havianas - they're really similar in style to Old Navy, but they don't flatten out over time like the ON ones do.

I'll second Clarks... I loved my Clarks flip flops during pregnancy.. I'm not usually a flip flop girl but found a nice pair that was really supportive and semi dressy leather.

I second Rainbows. They have support and are comfy. I paid $50 and have had the same pair for 5 years.

Reefs. I get the ones that have arch support!!!! They're the only flip flops I can wear since my arches are falling...my podiatrist approves

Rainbows for actual flip flops, but I lived in my Birkenstocks.

Orthoheel. They're orthodic sandals, and they're actually pretty cute.

I love Teva flip flops and they definitely held up when I was pregnant in the summer.

@char54: i loooove birks! i've been wearing my boston's because it's not quite sandal weather here yet =) they aren't pretty, but boy are they comfy!
reefs or havaianas (or birks if your cool with ugly sandals, but unless you find a crazy deal, they're $$! DH would kill me if he knew i spend $150/pair of ugly shoes, sandals are a little less, but they're amazing & i have some pairs that i've worn for 5+ years!)

Yes!! I LIVED in teva wedge flip flops.... They were so comfortable and the only shoes that fit and were so comfortable...

Thanks for the awesome suggestions! I am leaning towards these Rainbows. I think the braid is cute and they look way thicker/more supportive than what I've got. And they're within my budget
ETA: Ughhh but this is hard! Y'all are recommending some really cute ones and I want them all!

@blackbird: Which Reefs are doctor approved? I usually get the 'ginger'-- their most basic one with the fabric strap-- but I'd be willing to pay up for a more supportive pair. I live in them and Sperry's all summer.

I love my Sanuk yoga mat flip flops. The soles are so soft and cushy.

I also like Havianas, but my pair is super old and starting to get really worn down so I think I will need to invest in a new pair.

I have a pair of Merrell flip flops that are pretty darn close to a running shoe in their support. I think mine were on sale in the $50 range.

I love Havianas, but I can't buy them in the US because I've seen the prices & selection in Brazil
They look like Old Navy ones, but the material is different and much more comfortable.

@lawbee11: I randomly wore my rainbows today...They are super supportive and I was going to come back and say that they're what I would ultimately recommend but you've already got it under control:). I love that pair w/the braided strap!

I wore Earth shoes, which are like Birks. Mine look similar to these:

@foodnerd-I have the an-gel ones...some of them has sturdy arch support but some of them are just foam. I also just bought a pair of reef miss j bay sandals off amazon and they also have good support

@mrsmate: I have to second earth shoes. THE most comfortable sandals ever. They're not always so pretty, they have to be pretty chunky looking to be as supportive as they are. But like you posted you can certainly find cute ones!
