@beaker: Yeah, I had that done when I was 7. I had the bag for 4 months and then they removed it. I was in and out of hospitals for over a year because of my issues (enlarged colon). I know my parents had such a hard time with it. I can't imagine going through all that with a baby. Big hugs!!

@lilteacherbee: oh, wow! Glad you made it through ok. He never came home with the ostomy bag, I can imagine it's pretty hard to deal with!

@beaker: I went to second grade with the bag. I think I've blocked a lot of it out of my memory, but I still remember some things...like crying when my mom had to change it. I was terrified of doctors and any sort of medical procedures for a long time! I got used to needles during pregnancy and gestational diabetes, but I used to freakkkk out when I needed blood taken because I was so traumatized.
