So....everyone knows that Kirkland wipes and Target diapers are great...(or you know someone who thinks that!). Are there any other generic or store brand baby items you've found to be surprisingly good?
I really like CVS soft cloth wipes. They're huge!

The Babies R Us brand of fruit pouches are really good.
I also like the Kirkland wipes, the diapers, not so much.

I really like the Target version for most products. We use their brand of freeze dried fruits (Acher Farms I think it is) and their dye free meds are the only ones DS can tolerate. We also use their version of Aquaphor.

We really like the Kirkland wipes. The diapers are fine but they smell like urine. I also like the Walmart brand (Parent's Choice) for diaper cream. Same ingredients as most other brands but costs way less!
For Canadian bees, the Life Brand at Shoppers for wipes is great!

I like most store brand wipes (HEB, CVS, Kirkland). Haven't been a fan of the store brand diapers we have bought. We don't really use enough of anything else yet to have tried multiple brands, but I will definitely keep a close eye on this thread for the future.

Costco (Kirkland) wipes are great but they also carry Huggies Naturals that with a coupon are pretty price comparable.
I love the Target dye free medicines. Great for kids that spit it all out. Plus its cheaper so I can have a bottle in the diaper bag, a bottle at daycare, and a bottle at home.
We did not care for the Target diapers but I guess they did the job fine.

Hmm I actually like the Kirkland brand diapers over Huggies, I think Huggies leak more and smell worse. Funny how every baby is different! We also use the Kirkland wipes and Formula. I haven't tried any other generic brands that I like.

I use BJ wipes exclusively and have used their diapers. I think daycare uses BJ diapers exclusively and they're super absorbent! Heard good things about Walgreen wipes and any of the Up& up target brand. My niece was exclusively on BR'US diapers.

The Walmart brand of puffs and yogurt melts have the same ingredients as the Gerber ones and they are almost half the price! Also, they're delicious. Not that I eat half the bag of the melts or anything....
Kirkland wipes ROCK!
And in case you're wondering, I've tried the Walmart brand diapers and they were awful. Just...awful.

The Target version of Playtex Drop Ins (the liners) work exactly the same as the brand name drop ins liners..And they are less expensive. I also like generic medicines rather than name brands such as "Tylenol" b/c you never seem to hear much of a recall on generic meds..Just the name brand ones!

Ooh! Like this thread! And going to check out Kirkland wipes now! I get a lot of generic stuff from Target but found I don't like their wipes too much for actually using on baby's bum. Now they're just my hand wipes!

We use generic brand of almost everything... except diaps. We tried the BRU regular and "supreme" and they suck something awful. We've had both pee & poo leaks in both, and she doesn't even go that much at a time. We stick to Pampers now. The Walmart brand of Enfamil Gentlease is $15 less, and works like a charm.

I love the BJs brand baby wipes (in the red box). They are so cheap and work great. I like the BJs soft cloyhs, too because they are stretchier, but they are thinner, too. BJs diapers don't have stretchy enough sides for my skinny girl to get a good fit, and they feel like paper on the outside so they rub really bad on her.
Those of you in MA and NH, I have heard very good things about Market Basket diapers. I used one from a friend and it worked well.
I always buy target brand puffs and yogurt melts, and she loves them.

And, as far as diapers, we have 100% switched to luvs. They are about half the price of Pampers at BJs and they seem to always have coupons for them!

Agree on the target dye free liquid tylenol. Its like 3.79 a bottle vs. 6.99 for the pediacare. So nice, esp once they are taking bigger doses!

I concur that BRU diapers suck. I mainly dislike them because they seemed stiff and scratchy - not soft like huggies or pampers.

Another Kirkland wipe user! They are the only wipes that don't give DD a rash and they're such a good price. We also use Kirkland diapers. Only have had one leak.

@bpcmarj: we are almost through our first case of luvs. I thought I'd hate them but I really like them. We've had a couple leaks and one blowout, but we've had those with Huggies and pampers too. So I think we're sticking with luvs!

BTW if someone is looking for a more inexpensive cloth diaper Smartipants are a little more affordable, especially if you purchase a 3+ pack, and I actually really liked their design (they have an insert that comes out on it's own in the wash).
I have also heard amazing things about ALVA Baby. You can get these diapers starting at ~$5! They have several different styles and some are just like BG or other well known brands. There is also Kawaii Diapers which have good reviews too and these start ~$7. I haven't used either personally, but I know people that do IRL and love them!
