We are staying at a hotel in a few weeks and my DH wants to enjoy the pool. Is introducing the pool to a 2 month old too young?
Side note when is a good time to intro the pool to a baby?
Thoughts?

Hmm I'm not sure. We started J in "lessons" at 6 months. I felt that was a great age.
I was a little concerned about chlorine before 6 months.

I think you can do it at any time but I would think it would be easier when the baby has a bit of head/neck control.

My SIL is a swim instructor who practically lives in the pool, and she introduced her LO to the pool around 5 months. I think the chlorine and other chemicals probably aren't a good idea at that young of an age. Sorry!
Every pool we looked into for baby swim stuff doesn't allow them to start before 6 months. They'll make exceptions for babies just shy of 6 months, but that's it.
ETA: If you do decide to try it make sure you check the water temp too - if the water feels a bit cool to you, it'll feel freezing to baby with their thinner skin.

E was 6 months the first time, and then he took lessons at 8 months. I personally would be worried about the chlorine that young.

I took DD at around 7 months. I was worried about the chlorine/chemicals when she was tiny.

I think 6 months is the rule of thumb too because of all the chemicals and chlorine. Especially at a public pool.

We started at about 4 months. I feel like 2 months is a little to young for a hotel pool.

6 months was my limit for public/hotel pools. If we had had access to a salt water private pool before then, I probably would have been okay with that. We first took DD in the pool (and the ocean) at 7.5 months. She *loved* it.

I'd ask your pediatrician.
We started swim lessons at 10 weeks with ours (a couple weeks after 2 month vaccines), but they have a special filtration set up for their infant pool and set it at a very warm temperature and are indoors.

I agree wtih PP, I would wait until 6 months, their skin is just so sensitive before then.
