For some reason, I cannot find a decent t-shirt (for me) this summer! I have been looking for some simple basics to wear with shorts and casual skirts but have been having a tough time. Has anyone found well-fitting, ok-enough quality t-shirts this summer? I used to love Gap's t-shirts but the material seems to be different this summer. Bonus points for a few summer color choices too

Following! I tried on a white t-shirt a couple of weeks ago at Gap and it was see-through! Disappointing!

@Pancakes: yes! Exactly! I am also on the shorter side and all of their shirts have been way too long on me this year. The shape is totally off for me.

I really like the linen blend tshirts from madewell, but they do have to be hand washed.

I keep going back to these each year. They are comfortable and usually you can find some round necks too. Often they will be 3 for $21 or 24. I have a longer torso so I'm not sure how they fit shorter women but I love them

I just got a couple from Zara. I was looking for something just slightly more interesting and on trend...and they're only $10. (I'm short too...some cuts worked some didn't but they're were tons of options.)

@Periwinkle: Even odder is that I tried on the white one and I liked the length (I have a long torso), but the same style in black was a lot shorter!

Zara! Organic cotton, so soft, and very affordable!! They also cover my butt!

@fancyfunction: usually love J Crew so will have to look at their shirts. I actually have a coupon (so rare there!) so that's extra motivation

I hate the regular gap t-shirts but I love the gap body ones! I was furious to read that some of jcrew's t-shirts recommend hand washing so buyer beware!

I really like the t-shirts from everlane. Good quality and a nice fit for me, but I am not very busty, I could see them not fitting all body types.

Caslon from Nordstrom has a shirred style that I am loving these days. They are soft and have a lot of great colors.
