Do you tip on takeout? I mean when you go to the restaurant and pick it up yourself. I always feel awkward when I'm signing the Visa bill and there is space for a tip. I end up leaving a few bucks but that feels weird too.

Not unless it's somewhere I've gone a TON and know the people. Otherwise all they did was prep my food and that's what the original cost is for. Tipping is for good service and when I pick it up myself I don't get any service.

No, I do not tip on takeout-- that's why I pick up the food instead of getting it delivered.
Usually my takeout places are ones I frequent often, so I don't feel bad about not tipping.

I don't feel like I should but then I feel guilty when I see the tip line sometimes so I will leave a small tip.

No, not for take-out. I still feel guilty, though, even though I don't think I should.

No, just like $2-$3. If its a counter type place, I don't. If its a real restaurant, I do because I know that someone specifically works take out orders (like at ruby Tuesday's or Applebee's)

It depends on where I go, chain vs independent. Most of the time I'll just give some change in the to jar.

for take out i just leave 10% instead of the normal 20%
