I'm trying to be a big brave girl about this but it's so, so hard! I am going back to work full time on 17th February. I really, really don't want to go back - especially part time - but needs must. I am the main earner in our house and... you know the rest.
My daughter will be 6.5 months old when I go back. She will be going to my inlaws' house three days a week and then going to nursery 2 days per week.
My big worries:
1) She's going to be scared and feel abandoned when I leave her at nursery.
2) She's not going to know who her mummy is.
She's going to spend more awake time with my MIL than she does me and DH.
3) She will struggle with being woken up early.
DD wakes at 8.30am every morning, unless she is woken earlier by DH's alarm, hairdryer or front door slamming antics. If she is woken too early, she is so miserable. It's just not fair that she has to be woken up before she's ready just because we have to go to stupid work.
4) She will be ill all the time.
I hate it when DD is ill - poor little thing.
5) She will wake me up 10 times a night (especially if she's ill) and then I will die on the motorway while trying to commute.
Please, please tell me it's going to be okay. Tell me some great stories, please! It's hanging over my head like a huge cloud.
