I had a negative BFN on 11 and 12 dpo but now (a day later) instead of AF (2 days late) i am getting a weird tan discharge- i usually get dark brown spotting prior to AF. Any thoughts?

i dont know but wanted to say that i saw tan slash barely pink discharge today when i wiped! i'm 12dpo (AF expected saturday) and had what i am hoping was an implantation dip this morning.
also test negative today but was just using a dollar store cheapie.
so maybe we're both experiencing implantation signs!

I wiped tan a couple of times the day before my bfp, the day of, and the day after. That would have been 16,17, and 18 DPO for me. However idk if you have heard of the q-tip test, but I did that the night before bfp and it came back tan/light brown twice and I thought for sure AF was coming. I also cramped quite a bit that night too, and they felt like mild/moderate AF cramps.

thank you everyone! My LP has been getting longer each month off of the pill. last month it was around 12 days- im headed to 15 days now- its hard to tell because i dont temp anymore. i got my positive opk on CD 18 and 19 this month. currently CD 33

@Claire.Peonies: I would definitely test tomorrow! You sound almost exactly like me! I tested at 14dpo and was bfn and that was the day AF was due. It took 3 more days for me to get my bfp at 17dpo. Haha glad you tried the q-tip test...makes me feel less weird lol. FX for you!!! Update ASAP!

so for some reason i poas when i got home from work. DH thinks he sees a very faint positive- i can see one two- im confused! wandfo evap line? my spotting is about 4 -5 quarter sized spots- and qtip test is positive- but no bright red blood. This is normal for me pre af- i would be worried that i was having a chem pregnancy, but my previous tests wouldnt have been so clearly big fat negatives right?

@Claire.Peonies: I saw this thread earlier and didn't want to be negative by bringing up the possibility of a CP. When I had one I started with tan spotting at 11 or 12 DPO and thought I was getting my period and that my LP was short. PG tests were negative and I stopped testing. I called up my RE and told them a new cycle was about to start and went in for bloodwork at 15 DPO, but i started to get confused after i called because the spotting had stopped and AF never actually started. They let me know I was PG but that my HCG was only at 5. I started testing again and did see positives. I was hoping to see them get darker but after a couple days I stopped getting positives. I spotted off and on for a week until I lost it.
I'm pretty sure the spotting was actually implantation bleeding at first. And I did some research and apparently late implantation is a bad sign and usually winds up in miscarriage. It was unclear to researchers ipf the egg is slow to implant because it has something wring with it, or if the body knows there's something wrong with the and purposely slows it's descent down the Fallopian tubes so that the pregnancy won't implant.

@MrsCB: im sorry this happened. If you dont mind me asking, did this happen again? What did they suggest after this happened? Did you have worse cramping then usual? This is pretty typical pre af for me, but i usually dont have the tan spotting.

@Claire.Peonies: Well I was seeing an RE and we just moved on to the next cycle. They didn't really give any recommendations, there's not much you can do. And it was so early there was no recommendation to wait. I don't really remember any cramps from the CP. I was much crampier at the beginning of this pregnancy.
On a side note the CP was really tough at the time, but being pregnant now with a so far successful pregnancy at 26 weeks helped a lot to heal that hurt for me.

I always test early because i want to know if I am having repeated cp. I am pretty sure that the hpt is usually positive before the spotting. Every other test has been a clear BFN. Im thinking this has got to be an evaporation line- or supposed IB- some OBs swear by it- others not so much.
