I would assume they're no different? I got ours off of amazon.

@Coco Bee: i remember a post about diff sized A&A blankets?

@Coco Bee: Slight threadjack: are they really worth how expensive they are? I've been contemplating buying them...

@mrsjyw: yes, I have heard the Target ones are smaller. Read the description before buying!

The target ones are 44x44 and people complain that they are lesser quality. I like them just the same though (I have both target ones and regular ones) :).

On the same A&A thread about the bigger size being the one to get, several people posted that the Target ones felt different or not as high of a quality? After reading that, I just ordered them from Nordstrom at the sale a while back...

I have the target ones and a few that i found thrifted. Each one feels slightly different in texture...some are more ridgy and some are more smooth. Doesnt really matter though, they are all soft. And they are all plenty big for my swaddle technique, even if slightly smaller.
I might get a pack of 'original ' ones, but only because there is a pattern I lke

I have the babies r us ones, smaller size, and they feel absolutely fine. $27 with a coupon

They were nays for me. Maybe I got a bad batch but they don't feel soft even after being washed a lot! Love the 47x47 blankets from the AA website!

We had both and unless you have a really big baby I think it makes no difference. FWIW LO1 was right around 50% percentile at 4 months when we stopped swaddling and the size still fit fine.

@Shimmer: worth their weight in gold, I use them constantly and they are my go to gift for new mamas.

Target ones are a bit smaller and maybe a teensy bit less soft. I had both. I ended up liking the larger ones simply because I had a big baby who I swaddled until 6 mos.

I only have the Target ones, and I still use them today with my 16 month old. If I had a do over, I probably would have bought the original A+A instead. They're bigger and if the quality is better -- then why not? It's only a little extra cost, and you will be using them for a long time.

I have a pack of the 47" ones I got from a local shop. They are awesome and we still use them now, when DS is 17 months, albeit not for swaddling.

@Shimmer: I think it's a personal thing. LO wouldn't stay swaddled in hers past a week, so they aren't a must-have for us. I do like to have them around, but I have cheaper blankets that could serve the same purposes.

I have Target ones I bought off of Amazon. I was perfectly happy with them until I bought their Bamboo line! Those are sooooo super soft! Even with my hard water, it's so silky!
But if you're having a winter baby, I recommend The Ultimate Swaddle Blanket. Their website is running a sale right now but otherwise they sell them at Nordstroms.

I have the target ones and they have worked fine. I was happy because I could afford 2 packs! 4 was not going to be enough!

@mrsjyw: I have the target ones and I liked them so much I went back and bought another pack. They are worth it for me although some people claim they arent as soft or as big as the non target versions

I have both, and vastly prefer the more expensive 47x47 version. They are so much softer than the Target version.

@Phillybaby2013: Aden & Anais =o) Its a large muslin blanket that can be used for anything from swaddling to nursing cover to sunshield to blanket, etc.
@mrsjyw: I have Target ones, the regular A&A ones I ordered from them, and the Bamboo ones. My favorite are the bamboo because they are SO soft. The target ones were great while liv was a newborn, but as soon as she got a bit bigger and stronger, we needed the size of the non-Target ones. We still use those at 13 months. Plus the non-Target ones are a little softer. But they will do the trick.

@Shimmer: ABSOLUTELY. We used them daily for the first 8-9 months, and even now at 13 months we use them frequently. Moreso once the cooler weather starts for sure.

We have the target ones and I hardly used them, so I am glad I didn't spend more for them. I don't think I would have used them any more if they were larger, FWIW.
