DH is a middle school teacher

Not a teacher, but our school gets out on 5/25. Our teacher is pregnant and announced to parents her last day is 5/2
Teacher bee's is there an advantage to working one day into the month? I found it odd that her last day is going to be a Monday. She's due about a week later and does not have induction plans.

Dh is a teacher. He only has 7 days of teaching left. But then a week of finals. And then a week to finish grades, have meetings, and attend commencement.
Although he's teaching half days this summer so he'll go back after about 2 weeks off.

I think our last day is June 7th--between testing and field trips and field day, I know it will be here soon!
@MamaG: it could be a number of reasons--that's the date her sub could start, it's the last date she needs to work for maternity/FMLA reasons...did she share her plans for how the sub will start? Sometimes the sub will work with the teacher for a few days before fully taking over.
