Do you hate me for even asking that, or are you excited?
I'll be back on the 5th and work that week for back to school stuff. The first day for students is the 13th. I'm always sad when summer ends!

@Happygal: I just saw a meme that said August is like one long Sunday night for teachers. I go back September 2nd. Ugh, I'm upset just thinking about it.

August. I can't believe it. My position was up in the air, so I didn't think about it all summer. But things are set for next year, so my break is almost over!

I go back Aug 18th and the kids will be there on the 25th. I've been a SAHM all summer with LO and I've enjoyed it soooo much. I think I may be just a tiny bit ready for school to start, though. Just a tiny bit!

I go back the last week of August, kids after Labor Day. I'm really only halfway, but when everyone starts going back in July it really does feel like one long Sunday!

Staff goes back August 5th, students start on the 12th! I'm ready, but after a few days I know I'll be ready for another summer break.

It's August 18 for us, with students the following Monday, but I'm taking parental leave for the first semester, so it's about mid-January for me. I will say, it makes back to school ads MUCH easier to take.

August 5th. Not ready because I enjoy my workout schedule with my 7:30am workouts, I'll have to go back to 7pm workouts.

In-service days Aug 26-29, students show up on Sept 2 (Tuesday after Labor Day). SOOO not even ready to think about it!

Not a teacher, but a secretary. I think I go back before teachers on August 20th. Students start on the 27th. My school has one of the earliest start dates locally.

Well I have a training tomorrow...
I can get into my classroom next week for set up, but our official first day as teachers is Aug. 8th Kiddos come back the 18th
I am excited I feel like that part of my life is missing a bit, but I love summer!

@charm54: Good luck! I was on mat leave from Jan 13-Aug. 13 and while it was tough to leave DS, I enjoyed being back at school. Are you returning to the same position?

Officially teachers go back on August 13th, but I have a meeting on the 11th so I'm considering that my day
The kids come back August 19th. I can't believe how fast the summer has gone! I'm loving being a SAHM, but I always love the excitement of the new year - too. -
@Katrocap: thank you! I'm teaching 2nd grade again so at least there is some familiarity when I return. I love love love what I do so I think once I get over the sadness of leaving dd at daycare I will be happy to be back.

I quit my public school gig to start at a Montessori preschool, so I've been working since July 14. However their "school year" begins on Aug 18th, the same as the school district.
If I was still in the district I'd be heading back on Aug 13th and probay working on my classroom beginning of August. I actually love back to school time!

Ugh, I'm *very* part-time this year, and just found out I'm meant to be at school two full days next week for trainings....and haven't been offered pay for them. Yikes. Gotta love teaching! Kids come back on August 20th.

I have a writing PD the week of the 18th, staff is back to school week of the 25th, and kids are back on the 3rd.
