i think most doctors think teething doesn't cause fevers (though dr sears does).

recently olive had a fever just under 102 for just one day. then her second tooth popped through. teething didn't really seem to bother charlie, so i don't know if it can cause fevers.

My LO didn't get any fever yet, she has her two bottom teeth. She does get crazy diaper rash though that doesn't seem to want to go away. Luckily she's not bothered by that though.

Liv got a fever with 4 of her 5 teeth. She had one pop in randomly with no symptoms, but just the other day she had a fever of 102.4 and was craaanky. The next day, both top teeth had popped through and her temp was back to normal. Our pedi does say that teething can come with a fever.

I believe that babies get fevers because my LO had one while she was cutting her first few teeth.
