Our sweet, cheerful little dude has been a total crankpot this week. Fussy, whiney, clingy, crying. Hands and everything else he can get into stuffed in his little mouth, chomping. His gums looks white and I see a white spot on the upper front tooth area. However, there is also a white spot on FRONT of the gum. Is this normal? Does this sound like teething? I thought this would be a long ways off

My LO got her first tooth around 5 months. I think teething for a while, weeks before the tooth comes in, can be totally normal too.

Sounds like normal baby behavior, especially during a wonder week.
Could be a tooth, could be a sucking blister,'hopefully not thrush!!

COuld be teething, but my LO was like that from 15 weeks til 5.5 months--coincided with the 4 month sleep regression (and no teeth til 9 months).

My oldest was 3 moths with his first tooth. It definitely could be teething!

My LO is the same age and has been acting the same way. This Wonder Week is a doozy! Hope you don't have teeth in the mix too.

My LO started showing signs of teething right around 4 months, but no teeth came through until 7 months. It can be a long process

sounds like teething! ours was coupled with a few nts of 4 month regression as well, but we got our two bottom teeth that showed up at around 4.5 months!

L got her first tooth at 18 weeks. Sounds like early teething to me!

I saw the white on the front of the gums MONTHS (like, 5 months) before we ever saw a top tooth come in. Babies that age drool and drool and drool, so who knows?

@maybebaby: bumping because LO is acting exactly as yours was. She's about 14 weeks and holy cow...she has been a grumpmonster. Did your LO ever pop a tooth or get over the moodiness? Tell me it ends lol!
