How can you tell if your LO has an ear infection or teething?

C has been out of sorts for a week or so. And I know she is getting her molars in. But a couple of nights she has woken up around 10:30 and won't go back to sleep for hours (she's been STTN for several months). She can be soothed and seems to try to fall asleep on me or in bed with me, but she can't, but when I bring her near her crib she freaks out and screams and cries. It's so sad. Eventually I have to leave her in the crib and she cries for five minutes then falls asleep.

She also has been wanting to nurse way more than usual. She had a very low fever last week that went away (100.8). Called the nurse at our ped and she didn't think it was an ear inception from talking to me but basically said wait and see.

Do you think it's more likely from the teething, or could it be ear infection? I want to help the poor kiddo- plus I want to sleep!
