holy crap..I cannot figure my kid out. 6 months next week!

last night and the night before she slept pretty awesome..woke every 3-4 hours as normal, but better than every hour which is what she's been doing since january. for the past month or so she's been in her crib, and the past 2-3 weeks refuses to be rocked - will fall asleep in her crib. I'll occasionally have to play pacifier fairy because she can't figure out how to get it back in her mouth, and can't roll back to front so she can't always reach it. But generally, she goes to sleep on her own once the pacifier is back in.

however yesterday afternoon she absolutely refused to nap. she was exhausted but refused so I gave up and let DH hang with her while i ran to the store..by bed time she'd been up for 4.5 hours! That's nuts for her. but, she went to sleep easily and slept pretty well.

now today..her morning nap went okay, and she just fell asleep for nap #2 - but for both she started crying the minute I walked into her room! when I put her down in her crib she became inconsolable. eventually I ended up giving her teething tablets, a little orajel because she was still screaming bloody murder, and then rocking her, which is weird because she has not let me rock her in weeks. she slowly calmed down and fell asleep.

isn't it too early for separation anxiety?! we were making progress!
