Help!

When LO cut his first teeth, it was preceded by about 10 days of diarrhea, then a runny nose, then 2 nights of unbearable screaming, then a fever and a diagnosed ear infection. While he was recovering from the ear infection 6 teeth came through at once, over the course of a week.

So now it is starting again. He has had about 10 days of diarrhea, the runny nose started today, he has been chomping away on his fingers for the last couple days and he just woke up screaming He doesn't have a fever yet, but I have a bad feeling that an ear infection may be coming. Our Dr. office has hours tomorrow, so don't want to take him to the ER unless he spikes a fever.

Is there anything we can do to ease the symptoms (if indeed it is an ear infection) other than teething tablets and ibuprofen?
