Last night at bedtime one of the stories we read was called "Daddy Kisses" Different animal dads kiss their animal babies in different ways. After we finished LO kept saying "Daddy! Kiss! Daddy! Kiss!" until I took him out into the living room to give DH a smooch!

When DH asked R how big she was this morning, she gave him a kiss (well, a lick) instead of raising her arms up.

My DS used the potty and said "Good job, pee-pee! You made it to the potty!"

Lately, LO has randomly been “comforting” me. For example, we saw a dog yesterday on our walk and I knelt down beside LO and pointed at the dog and was talking about what a nice, happy dog it was and LO put her arm around my shoulders and patted me on the back and said “It’s ok, mama. Dog can’t get you. You safe with me.”

@yoursilverlining: Awww!!!
DS is all about hugging lately, complete with two pats on the back (the way DH and I hug). He hugs us, his friends at daycare, our dogs, the chickens (ha!), his teddy bears, everything. So cute!

Conversations with a 2-year-old (we should start recording her!)
This was from 2 nights ago:
(jumping on the couch)
"I don't want to go to work, I just want to be mean! But I have to go work at the King Castle."
5 seconds later:
"I have a crotch. Do you have a crotch, Mommy? Do you have a gyna?" (Yes I have both! Which confuses her.)
Then I tell her let's talk to my friend online. I tell her my friend is having a baby and ask her where the baby is.
"He is in Canada and he is singing."
I have no idea where she gets some of this stuff from.

She's been obsessed with playing peek-a-boo lately. She covers her face with her hand and I say, "where's M??" and she throws her hand down and smiles. This morning I was nursing her and she started waving her hand to get my attention then put it over her face. I said "where's M??" and she uncovered her face and smiled....all without breaking her latch. I died.

Last night in the bath, I took a cup and put it over my eye and then took it away and she laughed so hard. I did it for like 5 mins and she just kept laughing and then did it herself for me to laugh.

We were at a family party on Sunday and there was this bratty little kid being mean to my lil B- what does lil B do?? Keeps giving the kid hugs. What a cutie!

My husband picks M up from daycare these days. When I got home last night, I opened the door. She saw me, her face lit up and she ran at me. She literally tackled me to the ground and planted a big fat smooch on my lips. Then she demanded I sit down and play play-doh with her. I love that girl so much.

These are all so cute!!
C loves peek a boo these days, so when I go get her when she wakes up, she will be standing in the crib but pulls back behind a corner so I can't see her and waits until I say, "Where's C?" then she pops out and laughs. She also holds up her lovies for kisses, then bites ("kisses") them, then holds it back to me for kisses.
And she just started giving hugs-- she crawls into my lap and puts her arms around my neck and pulls her face in. It's the best.

Last night's adventures:
"Daddy's water cup...it's yucky." so she takes it to the sink and tries to put it in the sink and proceeds to dump the water in the cup on her head. She runs to me and says "Mommy, I get wet" HAHAHA "it's on my head" and laughs likes it's the funniest thing that's ever happened. I couldn't stop laughing because she was too cute.

She gave me a real kiss. Not just a peck on the lips like she usually does, but she grabbed my face with both of her little hands and gave me wet sloppy kisses on the lips, over and over again. She's an aggressive one.

LO has started randomly picking things up (colouring book, stuffed toy, etc.) and says "evy" with a pained expression on her face like it's the heaviest thing in the world. So cute

I just thought of another one form this weekend:

E has recently started asking us for hugs. No better way to melt away irritation at being woken up at 3am then by having a sleepy toddler reach up out of his crib and ask "hug mama?"

I love spying on M play and "talk" to her animals and friends in her room. This morning she lined up all her animals on her bed and had a conversation back and forth. "Milk? OK...be back, stay here!" I love listening to her pretend play. She is becoming quite bossy lol. Must be imitating me!

Love these threads
Whenever someone is upset or sad, LMW will sing the Daniel Tiger Song "I like you, I like you, just the way you are". She tips her head to the side while she's singing it and locks eyes with you. It is ADORABLE.

E was so cute this evening. DH and I were bouncing a ball between us with her in the middle and she was laughing hysterically and bouncing up and down on her knees with excitement!! She has also started taking herself for a nap - she gets her lovvey and her dummy and lies down by the cot! So cute!

My LO has been saying "aww...mama cute!" and kissing me. Haha. Love it!!!
She also says "you" instead of "me" when referring to herself. So she will say cute things like "help you!' when she means "help me".

@tinyperson: this is adorable!
My 19 mo old daughter has started needing to say "bye" to everything as we leave a room. She even says "bye" to each banister as we're walking down the stairs.
She also woke up a few minutes early this morning because of a poopy diaper, but instead of crying for me, she turned on her mobile/night light and sat in bed reading "Goodnight Gorilla" which she had also fallen asleep reading.

Such a cute thread.
Lo wanted a gummy snack and I said well okay but you have to kiss me first. He did and I gave him the gummy. But he wanted more so he came right up to me and kissed me (with out me asking) and pointed for more gummy. I was like uh oh, what am I teaching him! It was very cute though.

LO is not old enough to talk yet but I was having one of his stuffed animals talk to him and asked him if he wanted to give it a kiss. When I held it up to his face he opened his mouth and was probably trying to eat it but it was so freaking cute!

He keeps offering food to his 5 month old sister, which is cute in itself, so I tell him Emi has no teeth, she only drinks mama's milk. He got real concerned and started asking if everyone in the family has teeth. Mama teeth? Baba teeth? Grandpa teeth? Then he'll point to my boobs and ask Emi eat?

He giggled at me today when I washed his face. I'm pretty sure that won't always be the reaction I get when that happens!

T is still on a wacky sleep schedule from the hospital. Last night he had MOTN wake up and would only go back to sleep in my arms. So I laid on my side and kind of cradled him. I woke up a few times a night to feel his little hand touching my face. Heart melted!!!

Boy: onion.

LO is 15 months and he's been doing this "Ahhhh" (this might be the wrong spelling) sound after taking a drink of his milk or his water. It's like it's the most refreshing thing he's ever tasted haha.

Im only 11 weeks, but I am an auntie :). My little 17 month nephew grabbed my foot while I was sitting on the couch and kissed the top of my toes while we were at the beach last week. He does not talk.

DS has started sharing. We went berry picking a while ago and he'd eat a berry, then give one to everyone else he got such a kick out of us saying thanks!

She insists that she's not a baby and "no big girl." Then when asks "what are you" she says "I little." she probably remembers us calling her "little girl" but it's pretty cool that she puts that together with not being a baby.
