The only regret I have is not getting the snuggabunny swing! M hated our swing but they have the snuggabunny at daycare and she liked it. For #2 that's probably the only new gear we're getting.

we have the older color but still. we liked the colors and storage. classic new parent mistake. she rolls in the changing area so that's useless, you can't use the changing area without a thick blanket because it's all one giant fabric piece and can't be washed , and she won't sleep in it because the board is so obnoxiously scratchy and hard. even with a cushy blanket (which is a no-no) she slept 1 hour, normally she'll sleep 7-8 at night.

I wish we opted for a comfier PNP or the arms reach co sleeper. we used the summer infant by your side one in bed, which we loved. now she's just in bed with us.

Mamaroo he is not a fan!

Too many outfits. He's mostly in sleep and plays and so many of his clothes he's never worn.

The babasling, DS never liked it and I never figured out how to use it comfortably.

Bought the Ergo too late, DS didn't like being strapped in anymore and preferred to be forward facing. I'll definitely use it for the next LO though.

Miracle blanket did not work for us so I returned it

Hooded towels were cute but useless for us

FuzziBunz diapers didn't work for us, but I sold them at almost the same price I bought them (they were used maybe once or twice!)

An expensive highchair - it was so pretty, but the fisher price plastic booster is way more practical

Too much clothing - I need to stop doing this

The Ergo - I use it every single day, but I wish I'd registered for the Beco Gemini instead since I hated the infant insert and for the first 4 months M wanted to face outward so I ended up getting a Moby too. Wish I just had the Gemini from the start (Ergo is fine now though)

Hooded towels - used them for a few months before switching to a regular towel. Ditto baby wash cloths.

Pack n Play - that thing is huge and a PIA to travel with. Plus, I had to buy an extra mattress to make it comfortable enough for him to actually sleep! If anything, I wish I'd bought it used.

Too many cloth diapers - I wish I'd done a trial after he was born so I could decide what I liked on a real baby with real poop. I have so many to sell off, but no time!

Too many baby blankets, too many sheets, too many non-A+A receiving blankets. I use one or two blankets, two sheets, and used the A+A. I didn't need anything else and they all just take up space.

Nursing bras and tanks that aren't Bravado. Wasted money, should have just not bought four target bras and bought two Bravado bras on sale. Ditto Target tanks!

@tororojo: I loved our hooded towels! Used them all the time actually. For the infant stage, I liked draping the hood over her head before she came out of the bathtub and then draping the towel over the rest of her body. I also liked that I can leave the hood on her head while I put on her lotion, diaper and jammies. During the early toddler stage, my son loved to run around the house right after his bath and it was nice having the hood on his head so that he wasn't running around bare nekked. lol I know a lot of moms didn't find the hooded towels useful but I totally did!

ETA: Maybe buy 1 or 2 of them and see how you like them? I bought mine from PBK so they were a bit thicker than other ones I've tried. Plus they make super cute photo moments.

@tororojo: I use a regular adult towel too! I felt like the hooded ones were so thin and not really absorbent or warm! Granted in I'm New England during winter. Haha. You'd be fine w 2-3 hooded!

@tororojo: I also love the hooded towels! I feel like they keep LO warmer because his head is covered. We have a JJ cole one and a pottery barn one, and I like them both.

The only real regret I have is the bouncer we bought, because she never liked it. We opted for the basic PnP because of the reasons everyone listed above. I also sorta regret my Double electric pump, I NEEDED the medela freestyle and the reality is I didn't do it justice. I barely pumped since I have been at home for her entire first year.

@tororojo: just a grown up towel. We had a cute one from PB and we ended up using a grown up towel most of the time anyway.

@tororojo: We loved our hooded towels too and used them a lot. When she outgrew them, we just use a regular bath towel.

PnP- She hated it. It's useless. I wish we hadn't bought the damn thing at all.

Fuzzibunz- Leaky and awful

Moby- We both liked it... but when you have a large baby, it's only useful for a short period of time. We stopped using it when she was like 3 months old because she was just too heavy.

Graco travel-system- I should have listened. I freaking hate that thing. It's bulky, heavy and it's like driving a semi. I love my City Mini SO much more. I wish we had opted for it and the universal carseat adaptor from the beginning.

The halo Swaddle sleepsack & Woombie-we have a swaddle blanket that we use that works fine. The halo swaddle allowed her to sink down so the fleece was covering her face even though we were using the newborn size! Woombie was okay, but we preferred the blanket method.

Ikea changing table-American changing pads don't fit it!

The whole Chicco travel system. I wish I had just gotten some sort of stroller frame that was more lightweight and I would have been fine with that and the car seat.

@autumnlove: @cascadecherub: For me I feel like B is too high up....it totally doesnt work for feeding. For feeding, i just put him in my lap.

@cascadecherub: looks like it really worked for you! I saw soooo many rave reviews about it, thats why I was sad when it didnt work for me. I tried it again today but it just feels too big!

I don't really have any . . . except that I wish my glider also reclined.

@travelingbrit: I find it really comfortable to have him on the pillow. Now that he's older, he's propping himself up while he feeds. He loves to throw himself off of the boob and flirt with me during feedings on the pillow. It's pretty amusing.

I have way too many bottles. And so many are the really expensive glass Lifefactory ones with the silicone sleeves. But my son preferred a wider nipple and we never used them.

Also, we never needed swaddle blankets or pacifiers. He took to neither.
