After 4 unsuccessful months of TTC with ovulation tests, I've started temping to try to better understand my cycle and figure out when I'm ovulating. I've been reading a lot of threads about it on here and have been using a basal thermometer every morning to take my temperature internally before I get out of bed since I know it's important to do it when your body is at rest and has been asleep for several hours.

I've only been doing it for about a week and a half now, but I feel like my temps are all over the place, and I'm wondering if the fact that I don't always do it at exactly the same time is the reason - sometimes my son wakes me up at 6:30, but some days it's not until 8. Does the time of day make a big difference if it's always as soon as you wake up? And if so, how have you guys who already have a baby managed to achieve this? I can set an alarm, but there's always the chance of him waking me up before it goes off...unless I set it for like 5AM and totally mess up DH's sleep. Not sure what the best way to handle this is.
