I'm ttc baby #2 and I work weekend nights. My Temps are all over the place due to my waking timespecially being different depending on how I sleep. Anyone have any advice on temping when working a rotating shift?

I was on a rotating shift for a few months, while charting (but to avoid). I don't have any great advice... temping was difficult, but I tried to do it consistently as possible. Like take my temp at the same time for all the days doing the evening shift, and then all the days working the morning shift would be taken at the same time. So my chart didn't look very good, but I began to see the patterns.
I also tried to pay extra attention to the other signs, like CM, to figure out when I was ovulating.

The mornings are very consistent, it's the nights that I struggle to keep consistent. I just seem to vary too much with my waking times.

@duchessdina: I work 3 overnight shifts a week and just made sure to temp after sleeping 4 hours. It worked out fine.

Back when I use to attempt to chart I worked 3 nights a week and off 4 so I was constantly switching. Honestly it was hard and I never got the hang of it so I eventually gave up.
I ended up going by CM and OPK more than anything.

I think I might try waking up after 4 hours and see if I can fall back asleep after that. I struggle with sleeping during the day and sometimes have a hard time falling back asleep after I wake to go to the bathroom. Maybe if I get a routine it will work out.
