My DS just turned 10 months old a few days ago and he eats zero solids. He will not eat oatmeal, applesauce, puffs, etc. NOTHING. Any food that we do get into his mouth he acts like he is gagging and pushes it right out. The only food that he will even put in his mouth is a chunk of cantaloupe but if a tiny sliver breaks off he immediately starts gagging until he can get it out of his mouth.

We brought this up with his pediatrician at his 9 month check up and he did not seem alarmed and didn't give any advice either. We are thinking we will make an appointment to discuss this again since it has been a whole month with zero improvement.

Has anyone else experienced this? Have any advice on how to get him to accept foods? I am hesitant to even try more food because he does not even want to open his mouth and seals his lips shut when we try to feed him. I don't want to force him to eat. He does not even like it when we just put a taste of something on our finger and touch it to his tongue.

He is EBF and takes bottles of pumped milk just fine if that matters.
