I'm nearing the end of the road of pregnancy (36 weeks) and as the days fly by I keep getting more and more anxious and scared to give birth for the first time. My fiancée and I watched some online birthing classes tonight and though the advice was good I ended up crying and getting scared. It seems like my mind is just in overdrive these days and I can't seem to think of anything else but the pain I'm going to be in come d-day (I can barely tolerate the dentist how the heck am I going to get through birth!) I'm all for getting and epidural but I'm so afraid of the unknown and the what-ifs. Is there any advice you mamas can give? or did you feel really scared the first time but realized your thoughts and fears weren't as bad as the real thing?
