I went out with my girls tonight. It has been a while and I feel rejuvenated. Everyone needs some IRL girl talk every once in a while, too. When was the last time you went out with your girlfriends?

Last night! Had some appetizers/drinks and saw "The Hunger Games." I was out past midnight and couldn't even believe it when I got home. Sooooo tired.

Lately, I'm kinda sad when it comes to the subject of girlfriends. I feel like they've all forgotten me. I know, I know, I think I'm just having a depressing day- I'm sure I'll be over it by tomorrow.
Actually, I did go to a bachelorette party two weekends ago and I had a blast!
@Andrea: Girlfriend time is definitely needed!

@Andrea: I really liked it, but I also found it super-disturbing. It's the best movie I never want to see again, if that makes any sense, ha.

@Andrea: One lives in Chicago... and the other lives in Minnesota! So we chose Chicago as the fun, central meeting point (Plus my lil cousin is a senior at SAIC - art school, so I got to see her too!)

@lilteacherbee: well the bachelorette party sounds like a great time!! sorry you've had a depressing day. =(
@Mrs. Yoyo: did you read the book beforehand?
@mrsjyw: yay!! oh, i might go to minnesota this summer. DH's maternal side are from minnesota so they are having a family reunion of sorts!

@Andrea: need to visit Minn asap! Mall of America?! NO TAX ON CLOTHES?! UM Y ES.

@mrsjyw: haha, yes i hope i can go there but his family lives in the boonies. =(

@Andrea: No, though I still knew the general plot going in. Having read the book probably would have helped because I feel like there wasn't a lot of character development that would have made the movie even better. I haven't read for pleasure in ages!

@Andrea: awww... pit stop for shopping? family reunions have to be fun regardless. i was always sad my korean family wasn't large enough here to do a reunion!

@Mrs. Yoyo: interesting. DH didn't read the book so i think he liked the movie a lot more than i did. but you're right, character development is always short in the movie versions.

@Andrea: it was a ton of fun, especially since I haven't seen those girls in forever. The girl who is getting married actually dated DH when we were all in high school, so there were a lot of funny stories told haha.
And its okay, I just think I'm one of those people who emotionally invests a lot into friendships and when those friends don't reciprocate, its just sad.

@Andrea: Some of the District 12 stuff hit too close to home! It is seriously an apocalyptic version of where we live right now. Thank God we're moving soon...

@lilteacherbee: oh wow! high school buddy -- must've been fun! i know, it sucks when people do not reciprocate. i think i am caring less and less about that as i get older though. i move on pretty quickly but when i was younger - it would bug me more. i guess you live and learn.

@Mrs. Yoyo: for real? yes, good thing you are moving then!!

@Andrea: yay for fun with girlfriends.
I haven't been out with the girls for ages. We tend to catch up for coffee during the day.

@Andrea: Yup, there are abandoned coal camps that look like that scattered around, and what's even sadder is that sometimes people are still living in buildings like that. Living here has been eye-opening in a lot of ways.

@Mrs. Yoyo: i see, that really does sound like District 12!

I have been trying harder to meet up with friends since I've stacked off these past few months. Met a friend for lunch last week, meeting another for dinner next week and tonight a friend and our moms are getting together to take pictures of each other.

Honestly. For the most part I can't stand females. hhahahahhaa
I have one good girlfriend and it's been ever since her and I just went out. *shrugs* Somewhere along the way things shifted a bit.
I much prefer spending time with my husband!
