I've been having an especially hard time this week, and the package I just got from y'all couldn't have been better timed!

We had been getting personal mail nearly every day for a while, but it's just recently slowed. And although we were overwhelmed with close to 20 arrangements and plants for the first month (seriously. We had to pull all the lillies from the arrangements and put them outside because our house smelled like a funeral home), last weekend I threw the last one away.

Thank you SO MUCH to those that came together to send me a care package. I can tell so much thought when into each item I'm unwrapping.

I'm so looking forward to trying out the markers. I bought Secret Garden when I was in the hospital but switched to colored pencils because I didn't have fine enough markers for the details. These seem like they'll be perfect!

And the necklace couldn't have been more meaningful. At the burial, the priest compared Virginia's life to a comet. That we often overlook and forget about all the stars that are in the sky, but occasionally, a comet streaks across and steals all our attention. She will always be my falling star...

But obviously, you all knew that. Because I just got to the stained glass (I started responding before I opened everything so I wouldn't forget anything. thanks for making me cry at work guys!)

Thank you all so much for so thoughtful of a gift.
