So what do you think of their choice! I love Des! I think she'll be a great bachelorette. I was kinda rooting for Lesley a little more but I knew it would be between Des and Lindsey.

Meh. I was not a fan of Des on the show...I mean, she's nice enough, she just seems young and a little..immature.
So I'll probably revert back to my non-watching status. I didn't watch either the Bachelor or the Bachlorette for many seasons, and somehow just got sucked into this most recent one.
I think I would watch again if they would do something TOTALLY different---like, it would have been interesting to see Selma as the new bachlorette and see some non-kissing (or maybe there WOULD be kissing) ways to woo a girl from some muslim suiters. I don't know, just something different to mix up the formula a little.

I loved Des on the show, I really thought she was going to be the one. But for some reason, I am not so excited for her to be the Bachelorette. She is nice, but I don't think it will be that entertaining. I do wonder how her home visit will go with her brother, lol.

I'm glad they chose Des (I liked her more than AshLee!). If she knows what's good for her she won't invite her brother to the "meet the family" date!

@lawbee11: I was so glad they didn't pick AshLee, that would have been the most mot fun season ever. She would have sucked it dry with all of her seriousness and baggage (not that she doesn't have a right to have baggage, but come on girl!)

I'm kind of torn... I feel like Des and Lesley were both sooo young/immature on the show compared to some of the other women. I think AshLee would have been too...dry (and probably drama-filled with her "trust" issues)... I don't know, I don't feel like there was a super-great frontrunner this year. I liked Des and all, but she didn't seem to have whatever it took to get the "cult following" that the past Bachelors/Bachelorettes have had.
I think they were probably just struggling...
Don't get me wrong, I'll still be tuning in evvvvery single week!!!

I thought Lindsey came across as super young. Can't believe she made it as far as she dis. I love des so much. She has been my favorite from the beginning.

Does anyone else think Des looks like Katie Holmes? I was dismayed at what looked like an overly Botoxed forehead on her.
I'm with you, @Anagram: I think I would like a totally new bachelorette. Sometimes it's get snoozy when the repeat ones say "I know how you're feeling" and it's creepy when the others act like they know that person from what they saw on TV.
Don't get me wrong, I'll still be tuning in evvvvery single week!!!
