I'm on team Honest Toddler!

They said that the Honest Toddler founder had reached a verbal agreement with them around how to handle things, and then she didn't follow through. If that's true (and I don't know if there's any way to confirm things either way), then I am totally on team Honest Company. They have to protect their trademark, or they will lose it... that's just the way that trademarks work!

@mrbee: how will this impact their trademark?

I'm Team Honest Toddler, Honest Company didn't seem to have a problem with them 2 years ago when they promoted their blog, so the fact that with popularity they decided they are a threat is BS to me. It doesn't sound like Honest Toddler wants to overtake HC or their business, so why not co-exist?

@mrbee: I think right now it's he said, she said.

"April 2, 2013: U.S. Patent Trademark Office finds that Honest Toddler’s trademark is not confusing with any current marks, grants preliminary approval, and publishes the mark." I don't see why there would be any trademark issues if the USPTO granted preliminary approval.

FACT: The Honest Toddler’s mark is in a trademark class specifically for media and entertainment, which is fitting for a mom blogger. All but one of Honest Company’s trademarks are in different trademark classes. Their only mark in the same class as The Honest Toddler is HonestBaby, which they purchased from a mom blogger in 2012, but do not use in commerce. If searched, the link simply re-directs consumers to The Honest Company’s main page

Team Honest Toddler 100%. THC is being absolutely ridiculous and dishonest in the whole matter.
