The State of Your Teeth

I really need my teeth cleaned!

I just got my braces off last June and got two new crowns on my front teeth because of trauma when I was a teenager. That's basically the reason I became a dentist! Haha

@LovelyPlum: So sorry you have to get those root canals! No fun Hope you're healing quickly!

I didn't go to the dentist a ton during my middle school and teen years, but that always bothered me so I've made it priority to go every six months since I was in college. I've only had one cavity in the past ten years, however I'd love to make my teeth LOOK better. I have a few chips in my front teeth that bother me, and even though I'm a regular brusher they seem slightly more yellow than I'd like

I went every 6 months my whole life, then moved away from my dentist and didn't trust a new one (I'm weird). So, I drove 3 hours to my old dentist right before my wedding, just about 6 years ago, and then didn't go again until we just recently found a local one, last month. Luckily, in that span, and with Hyperemesis where I threw up during 2 entire pregnancies, I only had 2 cavities, and my teeth are in great shape.

I HATE HATE HATE the dentist. I haven't gone in 18 months, which my husband thinks is CRAZY. He is a very avid dentist-goer. He tries to get me to go, and I guess I should.

BUT. I have never had a cavity.

I loooove going to the dentist. I have gone every 6 months for as long as I can remember. And my current dentist is really hot so that is even more incentive to go regularly, lol.

It's like pulling teeth (har har) to get DH to go to the dentist, but I've gotten him to grudgingly go twice a year for the last few years. He's lucky he has good teeth bc his parent's aren't consistent dentist-goers. He has a lot of saliva (read: drool) but the dentist has said that actually helps protect his teeth.
