@NerdBee: I bought some preseed today...I do think my body is gearing up to O. I doubt it has actually passed...here's hoping to a soonish O for us both!

@MrsMccarthy: Yes, I need to go up near my cervix to find it, otherwise it is just watery. Near my cervix it is the stretchy, textbook EWCM. In regards to your other question, if it is more thick and white I would call it creamy, if it is more clear/thin/watery I would call it watery.

@MrsMccarthy: I have not had to dig for ewcm before. Usually I have enough ewcm that I can tell just by wiping after going to the washroom. So I'm guessing that I haven't O'd yet. Maybe I won't this cycle.
@simplyfelicity: thanks! Good luck to both of us but I wouldn't be surprised if I didn't O this cycle.

Does anyone know if you are particularly dry after a m/c? Comparing this cycle to last, I am very dry. I know my m/c was super early and that it should have been unnoticeable from a regular period but it was so different. Sorry for the tmi but it was very very clotted and bright red. I also noticed when I passed what I am guessing was the "baby stuff." Though very small it was like nothing I have ever seen.
Anyway, I should be o-ing yesterday or today. Comparing this cycle and last cycle, I haven't had much CM at all. I haven't even had much non fertile CM. Last month around this time, I had so much watery that I would change my undies more often. What I have had the past couple days is just being really moist/ slightly watery. Last month it was blaringly obvious and this month is a mystery. It's hard to know if what I feel is cm or just vaginal secretions. We used preseed last night just in case. Hopefully we hit O whenever it may have happened. I feel discouraged that O did not and maybe will not happen. I don't mind not knowing when I o'ed exactly but I hate thinking that something is wrong...sorry this one was like triple TMI.

@simplyfelicity: sounds to me like forgoing OPKs is too stressful at least post mc when you have no idea what to expect from your body. If you have dry cm I'd say you aren't fertile but that's only if you go digging and seriously there's nothing that doesn't evaporate almost immediately. I hope you get some answers soon. What CD are you?

@simplyfelicity: I don't know about after a m/c, but month to month, I am dryer/wetter than others. Has your diet changed at all? It could have some effect. PS we are cycle buddies, I O'd yesterday or today as well

@MrsMccarthy: Maybe. I need to have faith that it will be right as rain in time. I am cd 16 today. I think I just put too much on this month. It's hard to explain, like I don't do well with the stress so I want to keep it simple but then I am worried I won't o at all and have a really long cycle. I just need to chill and take it as it comes.

@simplyfelicity: Never, haha, I am 'turning it off' this cycle and not thinking about it, so maybe if I don't get AF by Memorial Day I will.
cantaloupe / 6634 posts
@KelLeeLeee: Yeah, same here (especially with the way I feel now about this cycle.) I am just going to wait for AF.

I am around 13-15 dpo and I just noticed what looked like EWCM but maybe a bit thicker low in my vagina. I swiped near my cervix and saw that it was more lotion like up there. I POAS on Monday. DH and I did Dtd in the early am today. We used non fertility lube and I will say I hadn't checked my cervix today but it was the first time I noticed this ewcm all day. If it were from dtd, I figure I would have noticed it earlier. Is it weird to have ewcm so late in a cycle?
nectarine / 2079 posts
@simplyfelicity: before my BFP this time I had globs of very cloudy off-white CM that was similar to the consistency of EWCM. The cycle before I had a lot of lotion like CM. Some say CM can be a sign of pregnancy, some say it isn't because everyone is different and often each cycle is different for many women.
cantaloupe / 6634 posts
@Radish: yes, mine was on the cloudy side and kind of globby ewcm! You made me feel better that that is not necessarily a sign of AF. Thanks!

I had to find a safe place to tell someone how excited I was to see the most beautiful EWCM ever this morning! I haven't gotten a positive OPK yet but it seems close. I had a similar circumstance when we conceived my son. I was feeling pretty discouraged about this cycle but I must admit this it cheered me up! Weird. Haha

@MrsMccarthy: With the frustrations of TTC, I think any win is awesome! I had no noticeable fertile CM this month so I think it's great you had EWCM!

@MrsMccarthy: woohoo! Good luck! Things always work out when we least expect them to

This is SUPER TMI with photos so don't click unless your stomach can handle it. I found it very helpful personally in distinguishing CM. here is it:

Does anyone really get that much creamy CM? Those are good though, I actually broke open an egg to see what the egg whites looked like

so...tmi stuff...I remember growing up with sex ed being told that when men ejaculate, there really isn't that much stuff. Well DH had to give a sample to our RE, he did it at home, and REALLY? THAT LITTLE? Is it just him? lol
I'm so embarassed.

@babycanuck: I've read the avg amount is a teaspoon. Feels like so much more when it's dripping out of you, doesn't it? Lol

This is all super interesting! But am I the only one who feels barfy when thinking about touching my cervix? I can't even look at the photographs of them in TCOYF because it grosses me out so badly and I feel like I'm going to pass out when I get my annual at the gyno. Is cervix sensitivity a thing? Because I think I have it!
So yeah... I just have to rely on what I can see externally. Too scared to go up there

TMI Question for you ladies - no matter where I am in my cycle I always seem to have creamy cm. I've tried everything but I've never even had anything close to ewcm since we started TTC six months ago. We use preseed during o time but I can still tell its creamy cm, just a bit more diluted bc of the preseed. Shoud I be concerned?

@Annette: The first 5 months of ttc I never ever had EWCM. It wasn't until I started drinking way way way way more water did I get it. This month I didn't drink as much water, and don't you know I hardly had EWCM
cantaloupe / 6634 posts
@Annette: I was once told that there maybe EWCM way up there where you can't reach. The month I got a BFP, I didn't notice EWCM at all but watery CM. Have you tried Mucinex or Grapefruit juice?
cherry / 203 posts
@dcyogabee how much did you drink? Right now I drink about 2 liters ( 8 cups ) per day but maybe I should be drinking more?
@simplefelicity funny you should ask! I just bought grapefruits last night to use in my juicer! I have tried mucinex but I think I need to be more religious about taking it because I didn't notice a difference.

Hooooley mackerel. Those CM images were more graphic than I was expecting haha.
RE the men-folk's donations. When my husband came out after making his donation for the initial semen analysis he said he was a tad embarrassed at his mls too!
@Crystal - you hit the nail on the head with the dripping scenario! haha
