I was thinking this morning about my childhood, and how things are so different today. I did a lot of things as a kid that I would never let my kids do today, or in the future. Also some things I did as a kid that just aren't available these days, either favorite restaurants or ice cream shops, etc that shut down. I had good memories at a lot of places but it just won't be possible for my LO to experience them. I remember riding my bike several miles across busy roads/highway overpasses to go to the gas station with my friends at 8/10 years old...there's no way I'd let my kids do that. Maybe I'll change my mind once they are older but I guess imaging it now gives me anxiety, there are too many scary news stories these days.
Are there things your LO will never be able to experience (maybe things don't exist anymore or unsafe), like you did as a kid?
