Hellobee Boards

The first thing I say when I'm describing Hellobee to DH or friends is how respectful I feel this community is. I think there are probably plenty of divergent and conflicting viewpoints on plenty of topics, and it's necessarily not that there is zero tension all the time, but I do feel like the respectful tenor of discussions is pretty exceptional for an online forum, especially one that covers topics that people are so passionate about and that are so personal.
And while I've never met anyone from HB in person, I definitely feel like I have some "internet friends" here- it's such a welcoming environment.

@Lozza: yes, this. We can agree to disagree and it's in harmony (or a rhyme).

I also feel like I've made friends through HelloBee already and that's awesome. It's the first online place I want to go to announce when our LO is born. It was the first online place I announced our pregnancy - and kept a secret elsewhere for so much longer than that!

I also agree that the supportive atmosphere on HB is what makes it so special. We are TTC and have been for a long time. No one IRL knows that we are having fertility issues and I can't really put into words how comforting it is to be able to read about other women going through similar things. Even women who haven't had trouble are so sweet and encouraging.

I can't wait to go through my pregnancy with this group when the time (hopefully) comes.

I love the community, especially since I live overseas and don't really have any ttc/pregnant/mommy friends.
I love the access to so much useful information, getting my questions answered so quickly and from people with a lot of experience.
I can't wait to announce a pregnancy and a birth here on hellobee, to a huge group of women who will be genuinely excited for me.
I just love hellobee! It's a wonderful community to be a part of.

I think I echo everyone so far. This is a wonderful and active group of amazing soon to be and already blessed parents. The advice is genuine and sincere. I am on bed rest and just having a place to read something new and relevant to me has kept me going.
I will throw in that in real life I plan conventions/meetings if we are serious I can help before my twins come because after they come I hope I have time to come up for air.

No judgement! If someone disagrees, they don't go off into a tangent telling your WHY to them it's wrong. Yuck!

I totally agree about the non-judgmental attitude. We ttc or pre-ttc ladies that are totally baby crazy and baby fevered, and we're treated like we're normal here. Anywhere else people think we're nuts, but here, it's ok. People like us anyway.

I love the respect that the members have for eachother. Also, I love the educational (for parents), type blog entries (like positive parenting and benign neglect and media awareness, etc). Also, I really like that it's not a big corporation with ulterior motives running the site. And I love that it's not just one person blogging, 'cause you get so many different perspectives.

I just love the Support here. Everyone is always so friendly and honest.

I love everything about Hellobee! I was thrilled when I heard about it and I love it so much. I'm not much of a commenter, but Hellobee has totally changed that for me.

This place feels like home!

@MsMamaBear: YES!! Cant say the same for weddingbee, it is the biggest difference I notice!

I also just love the different parenting styles, ideas, and philosophies that people share so freely. I love being able to pop on and read thread questions to get my mind going about parenting in ways I toally wouldnt have on my own.

I cant wait to share my labor/birth story with everyone too! Sharing my pregnancy with so many different women and man (tee hee Mr. Bee!) has been incredible!!
