LO is only 7 months and I already have given her formula and we co-sleep from time to time. I swore up and down that neither of those things would happen in a million years...

Parenting is definitely a lot less black and white than I imagined it would be during pregnancy!

Talk about poo as much as i do.

Spend so much on baby clothes. (Though I get better at finding deals over time )

Wish with all my heart that i could be a SAHM (I've only been in school forever working towards a PhD so I can be the ultimate career woman who does it all)

We wouldn't cosleep. Well that's how he sleeps best so that's how I sleep best!

I was pretty careful never to say never!! Even so I'm surprised how often I've picked boogies from her nose.
The only thing we have said we will never do is have an older kid still being pushed around in a stroller, but 'older' is relative. She's stil teeny so I have a few years to see how that pans out.

I swore up and down and back again that I would never, ever, EVER co-sleep but yeah, she's one and I'm still sharing a bed with her. Breastfeed past six months (I have to wean for health reasons and I'm so sad about it). I have eaten my words on pretty much everything

If you'd told me that I'd be a co-sleeping, ebf-ing AP type mom (and my husband would be a baby wearing AP type dad)a year ago, we would have laughed!
If you'd told me that my 5 month old would be around TV and/or computer screens all the time, I would have been horrified.
But...here I am. Never say never!

@stargal: ah yea, I swore I wouldn't have a thumb sucker... Weeeeeeell, he sucks his thumb and not only is it the cutest thing ever but it helps put him to sleep.

I swore I'd never bed share...definitely done it several times already and H just turned two months. Whatever helps him sleep, though!

Definitely co-sleeping. Our health region is sooo against it that I was terrified, and then it was our dirty little secret for a while because it was the thing I was most scared to be judged for.

I was adamant that I would make all my own organic baby food. HA HA. I will admit I have enjoyed doing it a few times but I just don't have the time.

There's so much I can't even remember... screen time for sure! I've limited them in the past... now... and with a second one as well screen time is SO hard to control with my second, especially when my oldest gets to watch it. And then I forget how long he's been watching it for. Oops! But on the upside, my second one doesn't really sit the entire time watching it. He gets bored and goes off and plays with all of his brother's toys while he can. Smart kid!

We don't co-sleep, but on the odd occasion I've fallen asleep after bringing her into the bed! We give her formula around once a week for convenience! I spend way more than I should on clothes! We use all disposable nappies (originally planned to CD)! We'll happily hand her over to relatives to watch her- didn't think I'd be as comfortable with this as I am- guess the newborn stage will do that to you!

@pinkcupcake: Screen time is the big one! Swore he would have ZERO until age two. HA! Our TV is just on ALL THE TIME.

Co-sleeping. DH wanted it from the beginning and I was soooo against it. I don't know what I'd do without it now!

Eat or drink in the car!

My sister laughed at me and said when your 20 mins late and your LO is screaming for a snack or drink I promise you will give them one and be on your way...... yep she was right!

I said I wouldn't have a bin in the nursery because it's so disgusting to leave bags of pee festering in there! Well, I gave that up pretty quickly!! I empty it every day (and throw poopy ones away in the outside bin immediately) but, yeah, I'm not going to be traipsing out to the outside bin ten times a day!!

I also said ZERO screen time but DH put children's TV channel CBeebies on for her one day and the bright, moving images just captivated her. She cooed and shrieked and gurled and waved her arms and legs about - how could I deny her that? So she is allowed half an hour in the evening (just before her bath, when she would usually be really fussy).... sigh....!
