I'm 31 weeks now and as we are transitioning into spring, I am probably going to need to purchase a few more clothing items before LO arrives.
Any suggestions from nursing mom's out there on what might have worked for you in the third tri and for nursing? I bought a wrap dress this weekend that I think will transition well, so looking for things like that.
I'm a bit stumped just because it's hard to imagine what my body will be like in those first months after baby.

I bought some nursing dresses to wear in the 3rd tri with the intention of wearing them postpartum. i never wore them because i looked way too flabby and they just didn't fit right after having the baby. i have worn a lot of skirt/top combos since the baby and that is much more comfortable with a nursing top underneath.

As a nursing mom, I mainly wear long tanks (so maternity tanks are AWESOME and I would stock up on those) under short sleeved or long sleeved shirts. As the weather gets warmer, I'll probably just wear tanks under a cardigan or something. I can just pull the neckline of the tank down to nurse easily. I personally don't like wearing actual nursing tanks (with just a built in shelf bra--I feel like I need more support and wear actual nursing bras) but I know a lot of people do!

Good question, due date twin! 
I've been looking for the same type of stuff. I found a Liz Lange maternity and nursing top at Target that I really love - its got sort of a criss-cross wrap in front, so its perfect for both nursing and my third tri. Other than that, I don't have anything else yet!

I too wear tank tops. I bought a whole bunch of Old Navy Perfect Tanks and they're great because I wore then during my pregnancy and also now when I pump. I just pull it down and unhook my nursing bra and I pump. I have a couple of nursing shirts but I only wore them once and they were too frumpy for me and I guess because my boobs are not that big I always had to pin the boob area down.

I'd say I dress like @hilsy85: about 85% of the time, but I have two nursing shirts from the Gap and one Glamourmom nursing tank that I wore in the last few weeks of pregnancy, the first few postpartum and still like now.
ETA: I use cheapie Charlotte Russe camis. They're long, stretchy and cheap.

@matador84: @hilsy85: It sounds like tank tops are a good bet, and good for warmer weather anyways. I was unsure if the one tank up one tank down system works with regular tanks (not just nursing tanks) but it sounds like it does?
@grizz: That top sounds cute! So much of the nursing wear seems odd to me, frumpy I guess like @bunnylove08: said. I hear such good things about Target maternity but the Target near me has such a poor maternity selection in store, and I much prefer to try things on

@Revel: i bought a couple of their nursing tanks there the shelf bras and they are my favorite and the cheapest. you could buy and return at the store if you dont like them. thats what i did because the target near me has a terrible selection

I like target's long and lean tanks. You can wear them during pregnancy and after since they are nice and long. You can pull them down easily too. I also just bought a few of these cardigans to wear over tanks. They are elbow length, lightweight, and long, so they are good as maternity wear and for covering up the jiggles post partum.

I bought a couple pieces of nursing clothes, but hardly wore them because I thought they were really unflattering and didn't really make nursing that much easier. My go to outfits consisted of maternity tanks or nursing tanks under regular tops. I would just pull the regular top up and the tank top down. Stretchy tops as well as tops with buttons work well.

@Revel: yup! The neckline is usually low enough that it's easy to pull d own over the ladies.
