This is a really interesting article about microchimerism post-pregnancy. This may actually be protective to women in most cases (except with autoimmune disease). Fun to think that your baby's cells live on in you-- I guess you really are forever changed after pregnancy

@littlebug: It is a bummer and I know some people experience terrible flares after they deliver their babies. But apparently, studies now show that breast feeding is quite protective against flares

I saw this a few months ago and I think it's beautifully symbolic. Also, we give so much to our LOs; it's amazing that nature has provided a way for them to give back to us!
