My kid....he'll only sit for like, 4 or 5 minutes unassisted. He refuses to tripod, only sits no hands. He also HATES sitting. Unless there's a really awesome toy in front of him that he can grab at and play with. He also isn't making any move toward pulling himself into a sitting position. Right now he puts all of his energy into rolling across the room, occasionally scooting backwards, and trying to put together a crawl.
I feel like there's always some "milestone" he is on the brink of being behind on. He was a late roller. He rolled belly to back at 4 months and back to belly at 5.5 months. But he didn't start rolling around the room until this month. I am encouraged because he seems to be putting together a crawl, but it is taking forever!
I obsess so much. Two weeks ago it was consonants. He's ok with that now, but now I'm worried that he isn't waving or mimicking or recognizing his name (although we probably don't use it often enough, or wave often enough, or read books often enough, etc., etc.). I feel like playtime is just me running around trying to "test" all his milestones; it isn't even fun!
Wow, this devolved into a completely different post from just sitting up!
