we just always used the a&a blankets or other receiving blankets. i never double swaddled and they definitely broke out of it. lol i thought our kids were so cute and smart. but i guess all babies wiggle out of them!

We used the summer infant swaddlemes and just a diaper. I never got the hang of swaddling and was paranoid it would come apart if I used a regular blanket.

What temp do you keep your air at? We used the swaddle A+A with a long sleep footed sleeper and she never seemed to get too hot.

When we double swaddled with A&A blankets we too just kept my son in his diaper and swaddled over that so he wouldn't overheat. It worked great for us. When using a miracle blanket, we would put my son in a cotton sleeper.

For naps we would do a double swaddle with an a+a blanket and at night we did something called the 'escape proof swaddle' where his arms where held with an a+a blanket and then he went in a summer infant Velcro swaddle (in just his diaper).

During the summertime i left her in her diapers and double swaddled her in the miracle blanket and a+a blanket. My LO also used her fingers to self soothe so i left one arm out. I also discovered that her love of kicking was what got herself out of the swaddle so i had to leave her legs out of the miracle blanket but swaddled in the a+a blanket. Complicated sounding, i know but it worked!

Now that it's getting a bit chilly and her room is 72 degrees, i still double swaddle her in a sleeper and she has been fine.

We use the Summer Infant SwaddleMes (the velcro ones) and a short-sleeved onesie. It's pretty hot, so I think we'll do without the onesie until it cools down.

We used the Woombie and then swaddled her over that.

We used the SwaddleMe velocro blanket (plus an extra Aden & Anais on top for extra warmth) for the first several months. Then one day I decided to try the Halo Sleep Sack on a whim. DD started sleeping through the night the very next night, and we never looked back.

We use the Halo swaddles and are so, so happy with them. DD has always liked kicking her legs (it helps her get the gas out) and the great thing about the Halos is that they have tons of room for her to move her legs around whilst still keeping her upper body swaddles.

We're just coming out of winter (although winter here is super mild) so she's always slept with a short sleeved onesie, a long sleeved sleeper, and then her swaddle. On really cold nights, we would place a blanket over the swaddle and tuck it into the bottom and sides of the cot. We never double swaddled though.
