We liked the Miracle Blanket and the Woombie. DS managed to Houdini his way out of everything else (and we bought everything: Swaddlepod, woombie, miracle blanket, a&a, swaddle me, you name it). The woombie wasn't so great when he was really small because he could wiggle too much, and then he outgrew it quickly, so next time around I'm just getting miracle blankets.

We used halo sleepsack swaddles. Honestly we didn't try anything else because those just worked for us. I did try A&A swaddles at the very beginning but I wasn't very good at using them and she would always escape so we used those as blankets mostly instead.

We use the halo swaddles. He broke out of the swaddle me, I found the A&A blankets too huge, and he haated the miracle blanket.

Hands down, the Woombie. Like pp, we bought soooo many brands but the one that worked the best was the Woombie. As a newborn, the Halo with velcro was fine but he soon broke out of it, and almost everything else. Liked the Miracle blanket but it was too hard to re-wrap in MOTN in near-darkness after a diaper change!
We loved the original Woombie and loved the convertible Woombie even more. The convertible lets you take one or both arms out at a time and helps with the transition out of a swaddle. The sizing of the Woombies is kind of wack, though.
We're now using the Merlin sleep suit and I love that one as well. He can probably do without it but it's like MY security blanket! lol.

The only two that worked for us were the Swaddle Strap and Love to Dream. We used the Swaddle Strap in the beginning because he could work his arms out of everything (Halo, Woombie/Swaddlepod, A&A blanket, flannel blanket) and wasn't too hot for summer. Eventually we gave in to the arms up and found he liked the Love to Dream because he could suck on his hands. He was so adorable in that and STTN!

We used a few of them and liked them all at different times for different reasons.
Summer Infant SwaddleMe - We used this when LO was a bitty newborn, it worked at it was easy for lot of MOTN changes. We liked it until he started getting his arms up and out from the middle of the swaddle and bunching the thing around his neck.
Halo Sleepsack Swaddle - Used this after the SwaddleMe. LO seemed to have a harder time breaking loose from this in the beginning, but then started being able to get his arms out the top. Looking back we probably could have skipped this all together and gone straight to our next option.
A&A Swaddle Blanket + SwaddleMe - This combo was swaddle gold. We did a traditional TIGHT down-up-down-up swaddle with the A&A and then TIGHTLY velcrowed the SwaddleMe on top. This kept our little Houdini in his swaddle until he was strong enough to roll over, but his arms NEVER got loose.

We have them all because my son is Houdini and started breaking out of blanket swaddles almost immediately and startling himself awake! From Halo, Ergo, Miracle Blanket, Woombie, A&A blankets and A&A Swaddle, my favorite is Halo. He still manages to sometimes move his hands up, but I find it's the best one to both keep his arms down, but also give his legs room to move while not creeping up near his face. The velcro can be annoying (mostly in laundry as it will stick to everything), but the good outweighs the bad IMO. With other brands I find the fabric almost always creeps up near his mouth and I get nervous that it will go over his face. The A&A swaddle often keeps his arms down, but if you need to do a diaper change in the MOTN you need to take the whole thing off, whereas with the Halo swaddle you can unzip from the bottom without having to redo it. We just ordered two more Halos in the next size up from amazon-they have a lot of colors and they can be pretty affordable if the color is unpopular ($13-$15), whereas the Miracle blanket cost us $30 and we don't love it.

With DS2, I used a Woombie from the beginning and he loved it. I was also able to swaddle wean him early and easily because he was already used to being able to move his arms around.
