D is slightly obsessed with Bruce the Shark from Finding Nemo (for a while he wanted to name Babygirl Bruce the Shark!). So I think he's going to be Bruce the Shark for Halloween. I don't want to spend a lot of money on a costume, because he's easily scared by people in masks, so trick-or-treating is out of hte question. He'll probalby just wear the costume for the daycare Halloween parade and to help us hand out candy. I found this tutorial to make a shark costume out of a sweatsuit. http://www.makeit-loveit.com/2013/10/halloween-costume-ideas-simple-shark-with-dorsal-fin.html

I have not touched a sewing machine in 10+ years. Does this look like it would be very complicated? I think I should be able to handle it, but seeing as I don't want to spend a lot of money on a costume, I don't want to totally eff it up and have to buy another sweatshirt or whatever. So, sewing bees, do you think a semi-novice can handle this?
