we're thinking of ordering one of these for LO, as the one we currently have for him is the biggest size available and he has long outgrown it!
are they soft? good quality? how do they do up?
also, where is the best place to buy one online? i've found them on amazon and diapers.com, but not sure if there's somewhere better priced etc?

I have one for my 6 month old; it's either a tog 3 or 3.5 - I can't remember. We bought the 6-18 month size and she's got lots of room to grow so far - but she's only in The 15th % for height.
It's really warm, washes well, nice and soft. It has two snaps on each shoulder, and a zipper that goes from the bottom up around the side, and is covered by another snap. I paid an exorbitant amount for it because I was desperate at the time. 
$55 CAD. HTH.

I have a 2.5 tog gro bag and I find it is really warm, too warm for my son. It is good quality though.

We have a medium one I haven't used yet. It looks SO LONG and DD is still kind of a peanut.

I'd avoid the ones with shoulder snaps. Some patterns have them and some don't. DD is an "active" baby and busts out of the snaps during the night. I've found her with the sleep sack over her head asleep. Kind of defeats the purpose of not giving her a blanket.
